This was the worst experience of my life!! I took my XLR 2004 to this dealership to fix the convertible top.
They said yes we can fix it.
After 8 months of lies and deceit (all in writing), I was told my car was ready! Only to find out, nothing was fixed, the car was...
I drove my car everyday no issues with my battery.
I come to the dealership for service, you keep my car for 60 days without cranking it up or charging it up, now the battery is dead and you charge me for a new battery.
How is this??
Nothing was wrong with my battery!
This is not fair, seems there is an integrity issue, and no one is checking for customer satisfaction.
I was quoted 172.00 +tax for a silver AC deco battery. Really?
You did not take care of my car, on your premises, how is it my fault?
If the car would have been cranked or charged, there would be no bad cell in my battery. My battery was not an old battery.
Also, they refurbished MY car part and try to charge me for a brand NEW part.
- Service and pricing
- Sneeky and dishonest
Preferred solution: 1. Fair price for service on my refurbished part- $550.00-$800.00 us dollars plus labor. 2. A fair price for inspections 3. The dealership should replace my car battery they let die.
User's recommendation: DO NOT USE THIS DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE!!

Finding another brand
I have been a customer at the Hilton Head dealership for years and have never thought that I would have had my confidence in this dealership completely destroyed, until now. I went to the dealership for an oil pressure issue, which I knew was the issue before I got there.
Of course, driving the car wasnt a risk that I wasnt going to take, so I had the car towed, so that the problem didnt effect the engine. The service advisor told me that I didnt need to get a tow, which undiagnosed, that was bad advice, especially if my drive in destroyed the engine.
That advice was my first red flag.
While at the dealership, I asked him to check my tires, because one needed air. I had been shopping for tires, and was experiencing the supply chain issues, but wanted to shop around first. I knew that I needed tires and was told that I needed tires, but that I could NOT just buy two, that the dealership would only sell me four tires, when I only wanted to get two.
I chose to leave without making a purchase.
Red flag number two.
As soon as I left the dealership, I noticed that the air light was on, which was one before I got to the dealership, so air was never put into the tires.
Red flag number three.
I had been traveling a lot, although not using my car. Thank God for that, because when I returned to the dealership after being frustrated searching for matching tires, it turns out that one of the tires had been worn down to a dangerous level. The damage was on the inside, which, if the tires were checked during the last service visit, they and I should have been made aware. The damage was significant enough to have exploded while driving.
Huge red flag number four.
The service advisor should NOT have let me leave without warning me that I was risking my life with the tire as is was.
If I had been made aware of it, I would NEVER have left with it the way that it was. Trusting in the service advisor is what we should be able to do. Not have to diagnose and double check their work or suggestions.
The final red flag comes from the lack of response that I received from the GM of the dealership. Yes, he apologized and said that he had several concerns about what happened and was going to investigate and make things right.
I was also told that it was not how they handle the confidence of customers. That was more than a month ago. After my making several calls to the dealership, I WAS NOT EVEN GIVEN THE COURTESY OF A RESPONSE OR RETURN CALL. Obviously, my experience was acceptable in the GMs eyes.
Red flag number five.
Obviously, this is how they do business. Its not about customer safety, or even good customer service.
Their focus is only about revenue. Im not a mechanic, nor should I have to be. Thats their job.
And on all counts, they have significantly failed. My confidence in the dealership has been destroyed.

Bet they had to take off the inner fender or something. That's what they did to my grandma.
